Whether you are looking to be healthier, increase energy, lose weight, achieve better sleep, overcome sugar cravings, learn healthier eating habits, or are struggling with a chronic illness, nutritional therapy can support you in improving your health and help you to achieve your full potential.
I use a functional medicine approach to address symptoms and to understand the underlying cause(s) and imbalances in the body that contribute to disease, using a person-centered and systemic approach where all aspects of your health are considered including your medical history, health concerns, environmental exposure, current lifestyle and dietary intake. This will enable me to identify your unique needs. Treating the person as a whole, rather than focusing on conditions means that the response will be tailored to you, and you alone - together we will agree on an achievable plan that will support your needs and health goals.
What to Expect from Your Consultation
Prior to your first consultation, you will be asked to complete a detailed electronic health questionnaire and return this via email no later than 3 days before your appointment. You will also be asked to complete and bring along a 3-day food diary when we meet. This preparation will help to ensure that you get the most out of the appointment.
Initial consultations last up to 90 mins. During this time we will discuss your health, with the aim of agreeing on realistic, achievable ways in which you can modify your diet and lifestyle to improve your health. Following your consultation, you will also receive a written plan via email clearly stating the nutritional and lifestyle recommendations that have been discussed, supportive information sheets, meal suggestions with recipes and shopping advice. This is typically done within 2 working days of the appointment.
Follow-up consultations last for 45 mins and are usually scheduled every 2-6 weeks depending on your individual needs and preferences. These allow us to discuss your progress, review your dietary plan, and perhaps most importantly to provide you with ongoing support.

What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional therapy is a science-based complementary therapy which aims to maximise one’s health potential through personalised nutritional and lifestyle changes. Nutritional therapy takes a holistic approach, focusing on finding the root cause of health concerns, rather than merely treating the symptoms. It considers digestion, hormonal and blood sugar balance, hydration, detoxification and nutritional status of the person to be at the core of optimal health, and uses nutrition to address imbalances and to promote wellness. Health is not merely the absence of disease but a state of complete harmony between body, mind and spirit. In order to achieve this we need to shift healthcare from a disease-focused model aimed at treating conditions towards disease prevention and health optimisation.
