About me

I’m Emilia Skrzypek, a Holistic Nutritional Therapist working around Winchester and Andover in person and working remotely with people everywhere.

I want to empower busy individuals and families with the understanding and tools, to help you take care of your health, to nourish, heal and thrive. I have a sweet spot for working with Mums - I understand your challenges!

I know how busy life can get, especially when you are juggling work and family-life. That’s why I believe in taking small steps - a 10-minute walk, a solo dance-party, or even sitting in silence can do wonders to how we feel.

One of the first things I work on with clients is helping them realise there is no such thing as 'perfect', before helping them to find joy in cooking and eating in a way that blends into their personal daily routine.

I offer several nutrition programmes to suit a variety of different needs, because I understand that knowledge doesn't always translate into habits, and sometimes, you need a little extra support.

I qualified as a Nutritional Therapist in 2016 and established Your Optimum Nutrition in Winchester and Andover to encourage busy people and families to take control of their health, so that they can nourish, heal, and thrive.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you recognise any of these in yourself or your family?

  • You wake up feeling tired, and that you just need to struggle through the day.
  • You suffer from reflux, heart-burn, bloating or stomach aches.
  • You wish you had more time and energy to do the things that make you happy.
  • You have tried lots of diets and none of them have worked for you.
  • You worry that changing your eating habits may take time and effort that you don’t have.

I can help you feel better and do more of the things you love.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Your Optimum Nutrition stands for:

  • Unique tailored advice based on your individual needs, abilities, and circumstances.
  • Searching deeper to find and solve the root causes of your issues – bringing you long lasting improvements in your wellbeing.
  • Breaking down your big goals into small, achievable milestones to avoid becoming overwhelmed.
  • Keeping in touch regularly to help you overcome any challenges or setbacks.
  • Empowering you with the tools you need to take control of your health for the future.
  • Taking a holistic approach to your health by blending traditional wisdom with modern medicinal science.

If you want to change your life through better nutrition, get in touch by phone or email and I will help you start your journey to wellness.

Here are a few reasons why you may choose to improve your health with me:

  1. I am a MSc qualified Nutritional Therapist with over 7 years of experience, registered with the UK regulator for complementary healthcare practitioners (CNHC).

  2. I combine a science-based framework from a Functional Medicine model, with the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

  3. My holistic health assessment takes into account the life events that have contributed to where you are today – the root causes of your low energy, digestive discomfort, or diagnosed illness.

  4. I create a bespoke nutrition & lifestyle plan that builds on your strengths and positive habits, tailored to your individual needs and abilities.

  5. I believe in realistic goal setting that accounts for the ups-and-downs of making a change, and I apply coaching techniques to help you achieve your goals and maintain the results.

  6. I tend to reach for food and natural remedies first. While taking supplements can be a quick win, the long-term goal is to get all the nutrients you need from food alone.

  7. I help people reignite the joy of cooking and eating, and demonstrate that a balanced diet can include anything in moderation.

  8. By exposing nutrition myths like calorie-counting, and misleading food industry tricks, you will be able to make informed choices about the food you consume.

  9. To enhance your healing journey, I may recommend comprehensive lab tests, or working with other complementary health therapists.

Further information

Few kind words from my previous clients:

"I had sessions with Emilia over 7 months for my diver-ticulitis and I-B-S type symptoms. She was always friendly, well informed and as a result of diet and other changes I am virtually symptom free. She provides background information and recipes to keep you motivated, and a huge bonus is that she will provide guidance and answer queries online in between appointments. I would have no hesitation in recommending her." -- Sue

“I no longer have diarrh-oea or cramps and the initial pain is much reduced so I didn’t have to take any painkillers or I-B-S medication for a month now. Moreover, I now go to the loo regularly in the morning by a clock and I feel lighter”   -- Barbara

"I would 100% recommend Emilia to family and friends as she is very knowledgeable, approachable and most importantly listens to you" -- Jane

“I like Emilia’s open approach, the general pace and the fully documented follow up notes from each session. I now have a better understanding of my problems and how to alleviate them. I would recommend working with Emilia as she combines an in depth understanding of the pros and cons of western medicine with the best of traditional eastern approaches-a really holistic approach.” -- Sue

“Thank you for everything you have taught me, I really feel you have made a difference to my general health and wellbeing and to a degree I have lost some weight which was always going to be a challenge. (…) I eat more earlier in the day, my diet is more varied (still rainbow), I have replaced some meat with pulse based proteins, lots more soups. I frequently add various seeds and have decided that Golden Porridge is not for me…” -- Neil
