Anthea McCourtie, BSc (Hons) Nutritional Therapy, mBANT, CNHC, Level 3 PT

At You Nutritional Therapy I go beyond the concept of a balanced diet in a “one size fits all approach” and focus on tailor made nutritional programmes specific to your health needs and goals.
Focusing on your goals and examining your current lifestyle and health history I will work with you to provide a nutritional strategy and programme including a food plan and supplements where required.
To help provide a fully individualised strategy, testing may be recommended and this will be discussed during your consultation. (Food intolerance tests and DNAFit genetic testing are available to purchase on request prior to your first consultation).
Nutritional therapy will never seek to replace any medical advice and I will always seek to work alongside other health professionals involved in your healthcare.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a registered Nutritional Therapist with a BSc in Nutritional Therapy from the Centre for Nutrition Education and Lifestyle Management (in partnership with Middlesex University).
I am a Level 3 qualified Personal Trainer specialising in at home and outdoor training using kettlebells and suspension (TRX) equipment. I also have a Level 3 award in designing Pre and Post Natal Exercise Programmes and am a Master Kettlebell Instructor.
I am a full member of BANT, the CNHC and REPS, in addition to being a licensed DNAFit Nutritionist and Personal Trainer.
I provide individual nutrition consultations and also work within corporate environments providing talks and workshops to help support employee wellbeing.

Like many nutrition professionals it was an interest in my own health that sparked a desire to go further than the current 5-a-day, low fat nutrition message. With so many conflicting messages in the media I wanted to learn more about nutrition with a solid scientific and evidence base. My fascination with the link between food, supplements and health combines with a passion for good food and cooking. I love good food and my aim is always to provide you with recipes and food plans that are not only geared towards your specific health needs and goals but that also taste delicious!
Having worked in a pressurised sales and recruitment environment I am fully aware of the impact of stress on the mind and body and the importance of nutritional support to help minimise the impact and to boost your body’s defences.
Training and competing in martial arts I am aware on a personal level of the impact nutrition can play in performance and recovery.
