About me

I have been a Nutritional Therapist for 23 years and have helped thousands of patients recover from both minor and severe health issues. I am one of the most experienced practitioners in London and Surrey, with clinics in Teddington, Surbiton and Claygate.

Simple dietary changes and reducing toxins in the body can be all that is needed to significantly improve your health. I focus on boosting the body's immune system, helping you to manage stress and promote physical and emotional well-being. Increased energy levels, ideal weight and a positive feeling of vibrant health can easily be achieved through diet correction. I have been particularly successful with more complex issues, such as helping ‘infertile’ couples to conceive and other apparently incurable conditions.

Nutritional medicine addresses the underlying causes of illness, rather than just focusing on individual symptoms, so I look into your health history very thoroughly. I use applied kinesiology to test for food intolerances and mineral deficiencies, in my consultations.   If appropriate I recommend functional diagnostic testing. It is important to look for signs of heavy metal toxicity, vitamin & mineral imbalances as well as emotional trauma. What we absorb each day in our diet, will affect every cell in our body and affect the way we look and feel.

Some of the health concerns I regularly see patients for are:

Digestion
Weight
Skin
Fertility
Pre-conception and healthy pregnancy
Allergies
Hormones
Respiratory
Energy
Unexplained symptoms
Emotional

Men’s health
Babies/children’s health
Autoimmune

I studied nutritional medicine with a two-year course at St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London. I am a sensitive and empathetic practitioner, who takes into account individual needs and lifestyles to ensure a realistic treatment plan.

A professional member of The British Association of Nutritional Therapists (BANT), the Nutritional Therapy Council, (NTC), which uphold and advance the standards of qualifications, competence and conduct of those who practice nutritional therapy as a profession, and The Complementary And Natural Healthcare Council, (CNHC). A qualified Phytotherapist, (A.Vogel herbal tinctures) and Area Representative with an educational trust, for the last 17 years, helping children from traumatised backgrounds.

"I am pregnant!! Thank you for everything you have done for us so far, it has been life changing!"(trying to conceive for 2 1/2 years and now pregnant, 10 weeks after first consultation)

"Since my first appointment I haven't had a single headache, and am like a new person. I've got loads of energy and even started exercising again which I haven't had the energy to do for nearly two years. No tummy problems anymore either!"

“I've just done a pregnancy test tonight and it has come out positive!!! I trust you 100% and your recommendations!”

TESTIMONIALS:

'I came to see Ann. After testing me on various foods, and finding some sensitivities, she advised keeping off these foods for a month.  She also gave me a diet to follow and supplements to address these symptoms which were triggered by some of the foods in my diet. I now feel a different person!'  S.K. - Surrey

"I feel better now than I've felt in years, and can now eat foods without reactions. I have a full time job as a teacher and live a normal, busy, active life - all of which is down to my change of diet and ultimately to Ann Shaw. Thank you!"   Ms S G - London

"Thank you so much for helping me. The diet that you put me on worked so well, and to my great pleasure, my skin looks better than ever. I am so happy! Thanks once again for your help and advice."                                                                    Ms A H - Middlesex
