With 24 years of experience in nutritional medicine, I have helped thousands of patients of all ages. Some of the most common problems I deal with are related to allergies, digestion, yeast overgrowth, weight, fertility, hormonal, fatigue and skin. I also specialise in preconceptual guidance for healthy pregnancies and babies and practice in Surbiton, Cobham and Claygate.
I have a holistic approach addressing the root cause of health issues and focusing on the body as a whole, rather than on individual symptoms. I look at underlying imbalances and deficiencies, impaired digestion, toxic overload as well as emotional trauma to restore overall health. Simple and realistic dietary and lifestyle changes can significantly improve your well-being. A low allergenic diet and the removal of toxins allows your immune system to repair, and your body function properly. The aim is to solve your health problem, achieve increased energy levels, ideal weight, and a positive feeling of vibrant health.
Digestion is a key factor in health and symptoms such as bloating, wind, reflux and food allergies can manifest unless corrected. Digestion is vitally important as what we absorb each day in our diet, will affect every cell in our body and affect the way we look and feel.
I suffered multiple allergies when in my early twenties, which were successfully dealt with through nutritional medicine. Since then I focused my full attention and career on helping others regain their health.
At consultations I test for food sensitivities and mineral deficiencies using Applied Kinesiology. This is a non-invasive discipline, that is also very successful with children and babies. I also offer a full range of functional laboratory diagnostic testing at leading laboratories.
Pre-conception and healthy pregnancy
I studied nutritional medicine at St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London and qualified in 1992. I am a sensitive and empathetic practitioner, who takes into account individual needs and lifestyles to ensure a realistic treatment plan.

A qualified Phytotherapist, (A.Vogel herbal tinctures) and Area Representative with an educational trust, for the last 17 years, helping children from traumatised backgrounds.

'I came to see Ann. After testing me on various foods, and finding some sensitivities, she advised keeping off these foods for a month. She also gave me a diet to follow and supplements to address these symptoms which were triggered by some of the foods in my diet. I now feel a different person!' S.K. - Surrey
"I feel better now than I've felt in years, and can now eat foods without reactions. I have a full time job as a teacher and live a normal, busy, active life - all of which is down to my change of diet and ultimately to Ann Shaw. Thank you!" Ms S G - London
