With 23 years experience in practicing nutritional medicine, I have helped thousands of people suffering numerous health problems. Some of the conditions I tackle are food intolerances, digestion, weight-gain, fertility, skin, low energy, toxicity, respiratory and autoimmune diseases.
Simple dietary changes and reducing toxins in the body can significantly improve your health. Increased energy levels, ideal weight, and a positive feeling of vibrant health can be achieved through diet correction. As a mother of two wonderful sons, I have a special interest in preconceptual care for healthy pregnancies and babies, and have been particularly successful helping ‘infertile’ couples to conceive, and many other apparently incurable and complex conditions.
I practice Nutritional Medicine from clinics in Surbiton, Claygate and Teddington, and focus on the underlying causes of illness, rather than just on individual symptoms. I use applied kinesiology to test for food intolerances and mineral deficiencies at consultations, and when appropriate, recommend functional diagnostic testing at leading laboratories. I believe it is important to look for signs of heavy metal toxicity, vitamin & mineral imbalances as well as emotional trauma. What we absorb each day in our diet, will affect every cell in our body and affect the way we look and feel.
Pre-conception and healthy pregnancy
Do you often feel tired, depressed, or exhausted? If so, your liver may be struggling to cope with toxins.
With about 80,000+ chemicals we are exposed to every day in the air, food and water, pesticides, pollution, chemicals, food additives, personal care and household products, medication and alcohol, our liver is under strain. One of the main ways the body rids itself of toxins is through the liver – it is your body’s built-in filtration and detoxification system. But when it becomes over-burdened, the liver can no longer do its job of detoxing your body and digesting your food.
A short list of some of the symptoms of liver toxicity are:
Roll of fat around upper abdomen
Multiple food and chemical sensitivities
Once you lessen the burden and heal your liver, the other organs in the body strengthen, together with your immune system. This, together with correcting mineral imbalances and a change of diet that is low in allergens, can transform your health.
I studied nutritional medicine with a two-year course at St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London, and am a sensitive and empathetic practitioner, who takes into account individual needs and lifestyles to ensure a realistic treatment plan.
A professional member of The British Association of Nutritional Therapists (BANT), the Nutritional Therapy Council, (NTC), which uphold and advance the standards of qualifications, competence and conduct of those who practice nutritional therapy as a profession, and The Complementary And Natural Healthcare Council, (CNHC). A qualified Phytotherapist, (A.Vogel herbal tinctures) and Area Representative with an educational trust, for the last 17 years, helping children from traumatised backgrounds.
