|My name is Andy Fox and I have been practising Nutritional Therapy and Iridology for 7 years. In that time I have helped lots of people find the balance that they need to experience health and vitality each and every day. Iridology is a fantastic tool to use as part of the initial consultation to help identify strengths and weaknesses so that a personal nutrition and lifestyle plan can be set so that you can immediately start to feel the benefits of the health you deserve.
I first realised the potential of nutrition on my health when I took part in a detox programme in Thailand 12 years ago. It changed my outlook completely about how to approach health and it steered me towards making a career out of something I love.
I am married to my Hungarian wife Viki and we have two healthy young boys. I enjoy tennis very much and I like running with my dog Charlie. I have hosted a local Radio Show called The Natural Health Show on Kingston Green Radio, conduct local and national health talks and deliver iridology lectures.
How Can Nutrition Help?
Holistic in approach, Nutrition seeks to get to the root cause of symptoms, working with the patient on a dynamic and personal level to restore and maintain the natural balance of the body and mind. No two people are the same, so therefore each treatment programme is devised according to the needs and circumstances of the individual. An Iridology assessment is made at the initial consultation however, if there is a case for functional tests to be done the reasons why and the costs will be discussed before any action is taken.
Do I need more than 1 Consultation?
An initial consultation may be adequate if your case is simple, however if you have long term or complex health issues, you may benefit from 2 or more consultations. Please consider that one consultation may not be sufficient if you choose to have tests, as results will need to be followed up at another consultation. Consultations are usually booked 4 weeks apart; however this depends on the individual. I offer full email and phone support throughout treatment programmes.
What is Iridology?
Iridology is the scientific analysis of patterns and structures in the iris of the eye which locates areas and stages of irritation throughout the body. The iris is the portion of the eye showing colour. It reveals body constitution, inherent strengths and weaknesses, health levels, and transitions that take place in a person's body according to their way of life.
How does it work?
The complex iris is composed of hundreds of thousands of nerve endings which are connected by impulses to every tissue of the body through the brain and nervous system. The nerve fibres, or trabecular, respond specifically to tissue and organ conditions with a corresponding physiological reflex manifested in the iris as lesions and colour variations. The iris chart, which is the result of many years of clinical observation and intensive research by Dr. Bernard Jensen and others, represents the basic placement of body organs and tissues similar to a map. An accurate iris analysis is possible by superimposing the chart over an iris image projection, allowing detailed observation of the valuable and reliable data recorded there.
I practice from The Abington Clinic in Northampton on Wednesday evenings from 6-9pm. You can either contact the clinic direct on 01604 451200 to book or if you would like a chat first then please do not hesitate to contact me on 07572 451917.
Training, qualifications & experience
I initially started studying a Diploma in Nutritional Medicine at The Plaskett Nutritional Medicine College, based in Cornwall, in April 2004. However, later that same year it was sold to Thames Valley University whereby it changed into a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Medicine. I finished and passed all my clinical studies and exams in December 2008 and received my certificate in April 2009.
I had initially completed an Iridology course in 2005 with The Plaskett Nutritional Medicine College over two short weekends however, I really wanted to develop my understanding of the subject. In 2011 I decided to do a diploma in Iridology with the Natural Health Care College. This was a 15 month programme over 6 modules and 40 hours clinical practice. I was so eager to learn that I completed the course in 9 months!
