This workshop will leave you feeling more confident about your little one's eating habits. Whether you are worried about what is too much or too little, or if mealtimes have become a battleground, then this workshop is for you. It’s also suitable if you have younger babies as it will help prepare you for ‘toddlerhood’. It’s natural for babies to become ‘choosy’ with food as they get older and this workshop will help you manage this in a positive way - and prevent you getting stuck in a rut with meals ! We all want the best for our little ones and I pride my workshops in having friendly, fun and non judgmental atmospheres.
During the workshop we will cover:
- Nutrition for pre-school age children (including common nutritional problems, foods to support brain development, foods to avoid etc)
- Portion sizes
- How much, and what they should be drinking
- Meal and snack ideas
- Supplements you do - and don’t really need !
- Tools and tips to help your little one broaden their diet
- How to best manage fussy eating.
We want the workshop to fit your needs and don’t have any expectations as to how you participate. You can decide as to whether you are just happy to listen and soak it all in or use the tools in the session to develop your own strategy to manage fussy eating. Either way, you will have support from the group and Dietitian (Louise).
The venue has been carefully selected to be child-friendly in case you need to attend with your little one. There are plenty of toys and an enclosed play area to keep you toddlers safe while the workshop runs. Please do not hesitate to ask me (Louise) if you have any questions or concerns.
About the host
I’m a Dietitian (MSc, BSc) and also proud mum to my little girl, Amber. She loved food as a baby but things changed during 'toddlerhood'. I'm passionate about helping parents and children have healthy, happy mealtimes. That's why I put all my experience and knowledge into my own bespoke workshops that cover everything a parent needs to know.
